Sorry I’ve been quiet on here and my Twitter for the last few days. I was working through some things with Exeter City and couldn’t announce anything until it was all confirmed. As you all know, I signed with Exeter last month and was thrilled to be back in English football! I was made really welcome by the fans and the club and relished getting back into a regular training routine. I was excited about being part of the fight to stay up.
Unfortunately for me, with other team members coming back to fitness, I wasn’t getting a chance to play in recent games. I respect the Management’s team selection, they have to play the squad that they think will give Exeter the best chance of survival. But I was also reluctant to stay and train away from home and my family, when I knew it would not lead to a place in the team. I have therefore parted ways with Exeter City under mutual consent. I want to take this opportunity to thank the fans and the club for their support and wish them well for the rest of the season and beyond.
I am now back in Toronto with my family. I will be keeping fit, hopefully by training with my old club Toronto FC whilst flying the flag for soccer in Canada with my Rohan Ricketts Academy. I plan to be back in the UK for pre-season training when my search for a club will begin again.
