Open Letter to Shamrock Rovers Fans

Open Letter to Shamrock Rovers Fans

Yo yo yo Shamrock Rovers family…Its your boy here. I thought I would write you all a lil letter to say thank you and goodbye.

In football time moves so fast so good byes are non existent unless its publicly stated that a player is leaving.

In this case it has not been publicized that I wont be coming back to play for Rovers next year, but it is a ambition of mine to move on to new pastures.

I am hoping that I can go and play back in the UK and challenge myself to improve myself again.

I had an amazing time playing for you the fans and the club.  You are arguably the most passionate and craziest set of fans I have played for.

The moment you all invade the pitch at the game vs UCD, when it clinched the title, personifies all what i think of you.

That was one of the most memorable moments of my career. I was jumping for joy and then I just looked on in awe to see what the league title meant to all of you.

It brought me to tears instantly.  Yea Imma cry baby hahahaha so what??!!

Anyway, I am just writing this to show my appreciation to all of you young and old. The club that you support is a special club, great history and massive potential.

I hope the club value what Michael O’Neil and his staff achieved as getting into the Europa League group stages may never be achieved again, even though I hope the club can do it next season.

I will be watching.

Once a hoop always a hoop.

Love you

Rohan Ricketts – ITS NOT ME ITS MY SHOES

Im an Englishman whos been living in South America ,mostly Bolivia, for the last 6 years, now im starting an agency to bring British players over to play in the Bolivian national league and the surrounding countries. We feel its an excellent oppurtunity for young and older players who havent had there contracts renewed with British clubs, also for unemployed players who havent been able to find a club.Since ive been living in Bolivia ive seen the league grow to as strong as its ever been, with good crowds and very competetive wages. It currently has pros from all over the continent playing here,Brasilians,Argentines,Uruguians,Chileans to name a few. After contacting and speaking to various coaches some have shown an interest in trying to bring some British players over.Theve spoken of how the British spirit and style could combine well with the South American.Theres also the chance to play in one of the 3 continent wide cup competitions, including the Copa de Liberatores which is competed amongst the best 38 club sides on the continent, Bolivias top 2 sides enter. This year Santos and Flamengo of Brasil will be comming to Bolivia among others in the Copa de Libs. The wages in Bolivia at present for pro footballers are the highest theve ever been, ranging between 400 pound-1200pound a week. Both amounts are a massive wage here because the average working wage for Bolivians is around 120pound a month, because of this the cost of living is one of the lowest in the Americas. Our service will include the finding of clubs, all translations and translating as required, taking care of accomadation and all relevent papers including visas, and basic support in any way needed. If you feel this is something that might interest you seeking clubs please contact us for more details.Im a Wolves fan myself and had the chance to see you play, and believe youre quality would suit perfect here, its a challenge and chance to pit your skills against the best of the South American Continent. Yours thankfully Tim Parker email timparker65@hotmail.com tel:Bol. 0059146447195 the UK is 4 hours in front.

Thanks for everything Rohan, its been a blast watching you play with a smile on your face. You’ve given us some great moments, not least the goal against Derry and you’re the best crosser of a ball we’ve had in years. Best of luck getting back up the football ladder, a player like you deserves to play at the highest level.
