This is a question which will be asked more frequently amongst parents of young talent at Manchester City and other big clubs who follow a similar business model. The purpose of an academy is to groom young talent into a pedigree which is good enough for the first team.

Now it seems as though these big clubs with these big budgets are grooming players to send them out on loan to these lower leagues and then eventually selling them. I really don’t get it!!
